Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is continuing to expand their Southeast footprint and seeking to add a Senior Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to their team. This role will consist of handling mid to complex Workers Compensation Lost Time claims in FL and some NC, SC, GA from inception to close. Qualified candidates must possess an active FL adjuster’s license while also being able to work remotely!
- Handle mid to complex Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close; primarily handling files throughout Florida..
- Manage a pending ranging between 80 – 90 files.
- Investigate claims to determine validity and extent of liability.
- Properly investigate and evaluate each case by corresponding with agents, insureds, claimants, witnesses, and others.
- Coordinate medical treatment for injured workers.
- Review and evaluate documentation, including applications, reports, and statements.
- Ensure legal, regulatory, and fair claims handling compliance.
- Identify claims with subrogation potential and pursue reimbursement.
- Set or recommend reserves based on results of claim investigation.
Requirements:
- 5 - 10+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
- Must be well-versed in FL and one or more of the following states: NC, SC, or GA
- Must hold an active FL Adjuster’s License
- Must have experience handling litigated files
- Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills
- High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
Salary/Benefits:
- $80,000 to $100,000 annual base salary
